She comes from a family of musicians and the first melody she remembers is Beethoven’s violin sonata played by her parents. She has been playing the violin since the age of five, first with her father, later with violin teacher Dr. Bedřich Čapek. She studied at the Prague Conservatory in Professor František Pospíšil’s class. She graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she studied with Professor Jiří Novak, the first violinist from the Smetana Quartet, and the Ohio University, where she attended Howard Beebe’s class. As a chamber player, she has cooperated with musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. She loves Johannes Brahm’s music and admires violinists Henryk Szeryng and David Oistrach.
