Over 120 seasons, the Czech Philharmonic has been led by many great conductors who have left an indelible mark on the golden treasury of Czech music. At present, there are three different conductors who regularly work and perform with the orchestra.

Semyon Bychkov – Chief Conductor and Music Director


Semyon Bychkov was named Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Czech Philharmonic from the beginning of the 2018/2019 season.

Jakub Hrůša – Principal Guest Conductor


The talented Czech maestro Jakub Hrůša was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic starting from the 2018/19 season. He leads the orchestra frequently in both subscription and special concerts.

Tomáš Netopil – Principal Guest Conductor


Together with Jakub Hrůša, Tomáš Netopil was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic from the 2018/19 season. In addition to concerts in Prague, he has led the Czech Philharmonic on several international tours.

Jiří Bělohlávek – former Music Director and Chief Conductor


Jiří Bělohlávek held the position of the Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic from 2012 to 2017, although his long-term and successful collaboration with the orchestra started more than thirty years ago.
