He studied at the Prague Conservatory in the trumpet class of Antonín Vajgl and graduated from The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of Václav Junek. As a student, he took part in several international competitions. He won the 2nd prize at the Jeju International Brass Competition (Korea) and was a finalist of the Toulon Trumpet Competition (France). He also excelled in the Prague Spring Competition and an international competition in Paris. He has appeared as a guest with top Czech orchestras, spent a long period in PKF – Prague
Philharmonia and was the 1st trumpet player of the Prague Symphony Orchestra as well as the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. You can currently hear him in the National Theatre Orchestra and now also in the Czech Philharmonic. Besides his orchestra engagements, he also pursues a solo career and plays chamber.
