Felix Beck, born 1998 in Germany, studied Bachelor of Music with focus on orchestra and teaching qualification at the Trossingen State University of Music under Prof. Franz Lang (former member of SWR Symphony Orchestra), Prof. Jochen Schorer (former member of SWR Symphony Orchestra), Lars Rapp (Frankfurt Radio Symphony), Stefan Gawlick (Concerto Köln) and Holger Brust (Bamberg Symphony Orchestra). He completed his studies in July 2024 with top marks and a special award.

Felix Beck began to play the drums at an early age and expanded his musical skills with violin and piano lessons. Later, Felix Beck decided to focus on percussion/timpani and piano, which he continued to study until he began his university studies.

In the past, Beck has played in several orchestras through academies or temporary contracts.

Among the highlights of Felix Beck's career are concerts in which he has performed under conductors such as Semyon Bychkov, Manfred Honeck, Vasily Petrenko, Kent Nagano and Jakub Hrusa and with soloists such as Placido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Rolando Villazón, Jonathan Tetelmann, Juan Diego Flórez, Fatma Said, the Labèque sisters and Christian Gerhaher.

Beck completed his first year at the ČF academy in the 23/24 season. His second year at the academy began in November 2025.

The Czech Philharmonic is very close to his heart and he is looking forward to everything that awaits him here. The highlight of his work with the Czech Philharmonic was the opportunity to play second principal timpani on the Asia tour in October 2025.
