In April, our main topic will be Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, which contains the Ode to Joy. We will be exploring the work's music and text, and we will use musical examples to take a closer look at the connections between the musical and non-musical worlds and the remarkable ability of the composer Ludwig van Beethoven to transform life’s difficulties into beauty.
The programme is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The programme will not be supplied with English subtitles.
