Duration of the programme 50 min
For preschools and schools

What’s it like to play at the Rudolfinum? Not to play hide and seek, but to play in an orchestra, for example? Which way do the players in the Czech Philharmonic go to get on stage, and how loud can the applause for the conductor be? And what is the word for the magic wand the conductor holds? What animal does one find on the coat of arms in the main concert hall? What does it look like inside the Presidential Lounge? How much echo is there on the balcony? And what does the organ sound like? Come have some fun with us in various parts of the Rudolfinum.

The goal of this playful workshop is to introduce children to the premises of the Rudolfinum. We’ll do a lot of walking, but it’s worth it! We wander from the foyer on the ground level up to the balcony and back again through the Presidential Salon; and we go on stage, of course! At each place we go, we find a picture of a musical instrument and we say a bit about it. We also notice lots of curiosities in the Rudolfinum. Finally, on the stage we arrange ourselves like an orchestra, and with the help of music we try out what it’s like when you hear an orchestra in the Dvořák Hall.
