"The award of the Czech Chamber Music Society made us extremely happy, because by founding our ensemble we wished to follow the strong tradition of Czech chamber music and to devote ourselves to the piano trio to the full. We are very pleased that our work has not gone unnoticed by the professional public and we hope that thanks to this award we will be able to play more often on Czech stages."

The ensemble consists of violinist Matouš Pěruška, cellist Kristina Vocetková and pianist Jan Vojtek. The players met while studying in Budapest and shortly afterwards decided to form a piano trio. After only a few months they received the second prize at the prestigious Gianni Bergamo Award competition in Lugano, Switzerland. Thanks to this competition success, they received an invitation to collaborate with the Italian company Le Dimore del Quartetto, which later awarded them the Ensemble of the Year 2021.

The CCMS Award was presented to the ensemble in the Rudolfinum by David Mareček, General Director of the Czech Philharmonic, together with Radek Křižanovský, dramaturge of the Czech Chamber Music Society, and Jiří Ludvík, Executive Director of the Czech Chamber Music Society.

The prize of the Czech Chamber Music Society also includes a concert by the Trio Bohémo, which audiences can look forward to in the 2024/2025 season.

Congratulations on the award!
