Subscription Series A
The programme of orchestral Subscription Series A celebrates famed compositions, rediscovers works that have been unjustly forgotten, and welcomes the newest music. In the 2026/2027 season, we will hear compositions inspired by the creation of the world, dreams, and Greek legends and many more.
The programming of Series A offers wonderful opportunities for rejoicing, with a tribute to John Adams for this 80th birthday and commemorations of anniversaries for Beethoven, Berwald, Mozart, and Shostakovich. Herbert Blomstedt will be conducting in the 72nd year of his extraordinary career, and the violinist Janine Jansen will appear for the first time with the title of Czech Philharmonic Artist-in-Residence. Semyon Bychkov’s baton will begin and end the series, while Jakub Hrůša, David Robertson, Karen Gomyo, and Kirill Gerstein are all returning to the Rudolfinum.
