In the Philharmonious podcast, Semyon Bychkov, Chief Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic, recalls the magical moment when he first heard Mahler's music as a young boy. Sixty years later, he is now preparing a recording of all of Mahler's symphonies with the Czech Philharmonic. He believes the orchestra is in tune with Mahler not only because of their common roots but also because of their legendary sound.
