Musical workshops with author Veronika Lucassen, instructor Jan Kyjovský, and musicians of the Czech Philharmonic: with harpist Jana Boušková, oboist Vladislav Borovka, and the string quintet Rudolphin Ensemble Prague. We also offer most of the programmes in the series The Little Rudolfinum in English.
This series of workshops is based on traditional folk riddles, songs, and dances from the legacy of Pavel Jurkovič and on the belief that folk poetry is timeless and still relevant as well as an embodiment of the wisdom of our great-grandparents. The effective use of this material attracts the youngest school pupils and their playful teachers.

This is a unique singing and dancing workshop with singer, choirmaster, and teacher Ida Kelarová and her team of artists. The program for children is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The program will not be supplied with English subtitles.

We take the words democracy and freedom for granted because they can seem abstract and remote to us. It’s hard to talk about them without resorting to clichés or empty words.
A musical laboratory with Martha Issová leading the research. The aim of the research is to find out if classical music has any practical use in the everyday world. Participating in the research are not only the Czech Student Philharmonic and the audience, but often unexpected guests.
The music form founded in the mid-19th century to tell stories and paint pictures through instrumental music is called the symphonic poem. Its “founding father” Franz Liszt had his followers in Russia, France as well as in the Bohemian Lands. This season’s series of concerts with commentary for young adults and adults “Steps to the New World” will be focusing on works by these composers.
The project supports music education in the Czech Republic and the teachers in particular. It brings together teachers at elementary schools, music schools, and secondary schools as well as pre-school teachers. The meetings allow them to discuss, share inspiration, and work together to find ways to introduce children to the world of music.
