The Little Rudolfinum • A Little Musical (and Other) Fun
What’s it like to play at the Rudolfinum? Not hide and seek but to play in an orchestra, for example? Which way do the players in the Czech Philharmonic go to get on stage? How noisy can the applause for the conductor get? And what is the word for the magic wand the conductor holds in his hand? Come have some fun with us in various parts of the Rudolfinum.

The goal of the playful workshop is to get familiar with the premises of the Rudolfinum. We do lots of walking, but it's worth it! We wander from the foyer on the ground floor to the balcony and back again through the Presidential Lounge - and we go on stage, of course! At each stop on the way, we find a picture of a musical instrument, say something about it, and notice lots of interesting things about the Rudolfinum. At the end on stage, we arrange ourselves like an orchestra and use music to find out what it's like when an orchestra is playing in Dvořák Hall.
The programme is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The programme will not be supplied with English subtitles.
