Welcome to a 100-minute journey of discovery about what music teaches us in the silence between the notes.

"Music is both a beautiful adornment to our lives and an important tool of communcation between people. It shows us how to find beauty in the midst of difficulties and calm and equilibrium in making our daily decisions. It teaches us how to support children and young people on their sometimes complicated path to adulthood or to learning. We learned this from the last three years of working at schools, in families, during workshops, and in performances."

This is what Ondřej Tichý says, who is the heart and soul of these non-traditional musical encounters at the Rudolfinum.

We are making their sixth season open to all who want music to speak to them and carry them away. Age does not matter. Bringing different generations together is beautiful, powerful, and unique, as is the musical world of harmony that everyone creates together. Giving a helping hand - and especially a helping note - are musicians from the Czech Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and their musical friends. Come take part in making music or just listen quietly and deeply experience the present moment.

A kind of outcome of the gatherings is a concert on 5 April 2025 at 4 p.m. in Dvořák Hall.

The programme is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The programme will not be supplied with English subtitles.
