For almost 130 seasons, the Czech Philharmonic has been led by many great conductors who have left an indelible mark on the orchestra. At present, there are three conductors who regularly perform and record with the orchestra.

Czech maestro Jakub Hrůša was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic from the 2018/2019 season. He leads the orchestra frequently in both subscription and special concerts as well as on tour.

Sir Simon Rattle recently accepted the position of Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic. He holds the title of “Rafael Kubelík Chair from 2024/2025 season.
Jiří Bělohlávek
former Music Director and Chief Conductor
Jiří Bělohlávek held the position of the Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic from 2012 to 2017, although his long-term and successful collaboration with the orchestra started more than thirty years ago.
