The popular Saturday matinees will again offer a varied programme, so that all listeners will surely be able to choose their favourite artists and composers. Opening the series is the Dvořák Piano Trio with interesting early works by L. van Beethoven and Antonín Dvořák. The Christmas Concert will be in the spirit of music by Benjamin Britten and Jan Novák – this exclusive programme performed by the Martinů Voices will bring pleasure especially to fans of choral music. Lovers of the King of Instruments, the organ, will not miss out, either. The partner of organist Pavel Svoboda will be French horn player Kateřina Javůrková. The European Guitar Quartet, one of the world’s most renowned ensembles, will be appearing in Prague for the first time. The concluding concert will again be devoted to the performing of the complete string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven, this time with the Talich Quartet.
