Early Evening Concerts

The public can get a wonderful taste of the immediacy of the chamber music experience in smaller venues. The series of evening concerts in Suk Hall often allows closer contact with the musicians, and it also becomes a platform for very colourful programming.

series-hp

The beginning of the season is devoted to the young artists Matouš Zukal and Jeremias Pestalozzi. The trio In modo camerale will feature a wide range of styles from the early Baroque to music of today. The Vienna Piano Quartet will bring together performers and compositions from this country and abroad. Once again, we will be devoting one evening to the rising generation: we will get to know recent winners of prestigious competitions. Next comes a probe into the fascinating and still largely unknown music of the French composer Erik Satie. Contrary to tradition, we will conclude the series with a bit of opera: arrangements of Gioacchino Rossini’s overtures.
