These early evening concerts are held traditionally in the Suk Hall of the Rudolfinum. The programmes again offer interesting encounters with artists of various fields and musical styles. The first concert will please percussion fans. Young Italian artist Simone Rubino, winner of the highly prestigious ARD Competition in Munich, will give his Prague premiere. Jointly with the Bohuslav Martinů Days Festival 2021, we are presenting three outstanding Czech artists – Ivo Kaháneka, Kateřina Váchová Soukalová, and Petr Nouzovský. A star among Czech singers, Markéta Cukrová will appear in a very interesting programme of Italian vocal music from the first half of the 17th century. Violinist František Novotný and pianist Igor Ardašev also accepted our invitation. These artists from Brno will present a programme mostly consisting of works by Robert Schumann and his wife Clara. The series will conclude with the Eben Trio. Among other compositions, they will perform Janáček’s 1st String Quartet as arranged for piano trio by Miloš Štědroň.
