This series is also dedicated in part to the complete performing by the quartets of Ludwig van Beethoven – at two concerts, the famed Hagen Quartet and the Pražák Quartet will play the master’s exceptional works. In this series, the name of cellist Clemens Hagen will appear with striking frequency. This wonderful artist will be appearing no less than three times – first with his own ensemble, then as a member of the Vienna Piano Trio, and finally in Schubert’s Quintet with two cellos, together with the Wihan Quartet. Musica Florea led by Marek Štryncl will accompany soprano Martina Janková in a programme of arias from sacred oratorios by G. Bononcini and G. F. Händel. Another attractive programme will be the appearance by the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra with Jan Mráček and Karel Untermüller in Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante.
