Philanthropic campaign
As part of the Opus 85 campaign, we set a goal of raising CZK 85 million for the Czech Philharmonic from private donors. We have already completed a large part of this journey, but you can still get involved and support our ambitions.
Imagine the future we have together within our grasp:
- The Czech Philharmonic is a guarantor of artistic excellence and operates at the highest level.
- A visit to a concert of the Czech Philharmonic is an enchanting experience for both Czech and foreign audiences.
- The orchestra performs on the world's most important stages, is part of renowned music festivals and represents the Czech Republic abroad.
- The Rudolfinum hosts the world's most sought-after soloists and conductors. Their cooperation with the orchestra enables the domestic audience to listen to classical music performed by the best artists of their time.
- The Czech Philharmonic passes on the love of classical music to the next generation, providing guidance and support to young talents.
We need you, our supporters
The amount of 85 000 000 CZK, which we intend to raise by June 2024, will help us to place ourselves alongside the best orchestras in Europe. The goals we have set ourselves cannot be fully financed from public budgets.
Thanks to your donations:
- We will improve the conditions for the philharmonic. We will increase the remuneration of our players to match the demands of the times and the standards of Western European competition.
- We will ensure cooperation with the most important conductors and soloists of today.
- We will strengthen the name of the Czech Republic on foreign tours.
- Through live streaming and modern communication, we will bring the world of classical music closer to the wider public and the younger generation.
- We will create new educational projects for schools and the public.
Our ambitions certainly do not end with this list, which is why we are seeking financial support from private donors. Please consider supporting us on our journey to the top.
