Rudolfinum — Dvořák Hall

An evening of famous Czech compositions by B. Smetana and A. Dvořák on the occasion of the “Year of Czech Music”. Moldau (from “My Country”), Bartered Bride and above all Dvořák's cello concerto in B-minor interpreted by the jubilant Jiří Bárta. All this accompanied by the B.Martinů Philharmonic and world-class conductor Orhan Salliel, artistic director and chief conductor of the Aden symphonic orchestra.
In March of this year, our leading cellist Jiří Bárta celebrates a significant life anniversary. He studied with Mirko Škampa, Josef Chuchro, in Cologne with Boris Pergamenschikow and with Eleonore Schoenfeld in Los Angeles. He regularly cooperates with Czech and international orchestras – Czech Philharmonic, Slovak Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Berliner Symphoniker, Scottish National Orchestra. He is invited to leading festivals and stages (Barcelona, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Edinburgh, Istanbul, Los Angeles, Munich, New York, Paris, Salzburg, London, Tokio).
