Rudolfinum — Dvořák Hall

Antonio Vivaldi is one of the composers whose work is substantially represented in the archives of Dresden, one of the most vibrant music centres of eighteenth-century Europe. His relationship with the Dresden Orchestra was shaped primarily by his pupil and later concertmaster at the court of the Saxon Electors, Johann Georg Pisendel. The brilliant instrumental programme will be enriched by Vivaldi‘s Laudate pueri RV 601 with wind instruments, performed by the excellent young German soprano Mirella Hagen, one of the rising stars of international stages.
