Workshop is canceled.
The program is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The program will not be supplied with English subtitles.
Since the dawn of the human civilisation, music has been the world in which rituals meet with dancing, worship with listening. We can be with music on our own at home or in a crown of hundred thousand people, it is here with us from cradle to grave. Music can mean great symphonies and simple child's tune, we find victory and defeats of professional artists in it but also the joy of playing together of non-professional ensembles. For many countries, our homeland is the role model when it comes to the system of comprehensive, very democratic music education on many levels. In the whole Europe, bringing the world of art to the elderly has been a big challenge.
To keep up with this trend, the Czech Philhamronic adds workshops for the elderly to ist programmes for children and young adults from various social backgrounds. They are deliberatelly not achievement-oriented but rather aimed at joined experience from working with simple musical instruments, listening and moving - everybody can take part regardless of age, abilities and musical experience.
The workshops are primarily designed for the over 60 but they also aim at inspiring the caretakers, volunteers and social workers. The participants will be working in independent tematic blocks under the supervision of excellent and inspiring lecturers Rafaela Drgáčová, Hana Novotná and Ondřej Tichý. It will be mainly about new social bonds, finding links between rythm, tempo, movement, instrumental colours, and silence between the tones.
