The concerts of this series, traditionally held on Monday evenings, will offer highly varied programming, with something for perhaps every listener. In cooperation with the festival Strings of Autumn, we are welcoming the Dover Quartet (USA). The Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra under the leadership of Ondřej Vrabec will perform works by Czech and Japanese composers. Two concerts from the series will be devoted to the playing of L. van Beethoven’s complete string quartets with performances by the Bennewitz Quartet and German Artemis Quartet. A song recital by soprano Kateřina Kněžíková will lend variety to the series, and the Gewandhaus Bläserquintett, the world’s oldest ensemble of its kind, has also accepted an invitation.
