Subscription Series I
Chamber Series I opens with a star-studded trio: Joshua Bell, Steven Isserlis and Evgeny Kissin. Later highlights include the Alinde Quintet, season curator Mahan Esfahani, and the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra with Nicholas Kraemer in a Baroque finale.
The Czech Chamber Music Society is happy to welcome the Alinde Quintet, winners of the ARD Competition in Munich. Chamber Series I also embraces less conventional instrumental settings including Petr Wittich’s musical adaptation of The Little Prince for strings, winds and percussion. A special project devoted to Bohuslav Martinů will bring together the Martinů Voices and the Bennewitz Quartet and season curator Mahan Esfahani will present the second volume of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier. The series concludes with a tribute to the Baroque, featuring the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra under the baton of early music specialist Nicholas Kraemer, performing Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos and more.
