In the 62nd edition of the prestigious international Musical America Awards, Chief Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Semyon Bychkov was awarded Conductor of the Year. Congratulations!

"The elegance of his phrasing and fertility of his musical imagination is matched by an unerring grasp of sonic architecture. Hours of study ensures that every bar rings true, yet there’s a freshness and spontaneity too. Nothing about a Bychkov performance ever seems set in stone."
Musical America Worldwide is America's oldest magazine and has been covering classical music for over 100 years. Since 1961, when Leonard Bernstein won the award, the magazine has annually named the music world's most significant artists.
It is a great honour for the Czech Philharmonic to announce that Chief Conductor and Music Director Semyon Bychkov has received this year's Conductor of the Year Award.
Congratulations!
