Exhibition of paintings from non-public rehearsals
From 12 December 2018 until 25 January 2019 the Czech Philharmonic will be presenting an exhibition of works by the students of the Academy of Fine arts, the drawings and paintings will be displayed on the ground floor respirium of the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. Students from several studios sketched during three non-public rehearsals lead by Manfred Honeck, Jiří Bělohlávek, and Semyon Bychkov.
About the exhibition
The exhibition presents different points of view and artistic approaches. From the traditional verism demonstrated by Klára Sedlo through minimalist sketches of Žofie Kumštová and expressive strokes of Ľubomír Golis, to abstract lyric painting of Markéta Kolářová. The exhibition also includes an authentic sketchbook of Radka Bodzevič Doubravová that will be available for the visitors to read and flip through.
Where and when you can see it
The exhibition is open to the public from 10 AM to 6 PM on the following Mondays: 17 December 2018, 7 January, 14 January and 21 January 2019.
Please use the main entrance to Rudolfinum from Palachovo náměstí.
Visitors attending concerts at the Dvořák Hall will be able to view the exhibition one hour before the start of the concert, during the break, and 30 minutes after the end of the concert.
