The Czech Philharmonic for Students


The doors to the Rudolfinum are open to all school pupils and students. For young people up to age 26, the Czech Philharmonic offers numerous benefits and discounts. Our goal is to make our concerts accessible to everyone whose heart is open to music. Take a look at what we have prepared for you.

Special Offer

Come hear a special concert presented by the Czech Philharmonic and Galerie Rudolfinum for the exhibition Not Without Joy. You can look forward to a piece titled Crazy Nigger by the composer and performer Julius Eastman. There are three dates to choose from, and the student price is CZK 100.

Student Programme

 

Last Minute Tickets are sold to selected concerts for CZK 100, and they offer an extra bit of adventure. We offer school pupils and students with valid ISIC SCHOLAR or ISIC cards the chance to attend Czech Philharmonic concerts at the Rudolfinum even if they are sold out. But we cannot tell you in advance where you will be seated.

How can I get discounted tickets?

  1. Register on the Czech Philharmonic website and enter the number from your ISIC card. After logging in, go to the “Loyalty Programme” and confirm your registration to become a Student Programme member. You will always need to log in to claim discounted tickets.
  2. If the button “Student Programme” appears below the “Order Online” option for a concert (for regular ticket purchase), you can buy one discounted ticket for CZK 100. Immediate payment by card is required. The discount is applied after the ticket is added to your shopping basket. You can show your e-ticket on your mobile device. It is not necessary to print it out.
  3. You can buy a Student Programme ticket on the day of the concert no earlier than three hours before the concert begins.

This ticket does not entitle you to a specific seat in the hall. After entering the Rudolfinum, please any member of the stewarding staff, who will take you to a currently available seat just before the concert begins; it may even be in the highest price category. Please always take the seat chosen for you by the stewarding staff. If all seats are taken, please go to the standing area on the middle balcony.

Discounts to other concerts

For school pupils up to age 15 and for students up to age 26 with a valid ISIC SCHOLAR or ISIC card there is a 50% discount on purchase of individual tickets to concerts of the Czech Philharmonic and the Czech Chamber Music Society. The discount is only 20% for New Year’s Eve at the Rudolfinum. The student discount does not apply to the New Year’s Gala Concert or to educational programmes other than Steps to the New World and the concert of the joint orchestra of pupils from Elementary Schools of the Arts and members of the Czech Philharmonic. The discount does not apply to standing room tickets at any concerts.
