Subscription Series B

The Subscription Series B features selection of major works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonín Dvořák, Gustav Mahler, Franz Schubert, and Leoš Janáček. You can look forward to unforgettable evenings with Larghetto for Orchestra by James MacMillan, Agnus Dei by Martin Smolka, and Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland. Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov and Principal Guest Conductor Tomáš Netopil prepared two concerts each. Manfred Honeck will pay one visit to the Rudolfinum and American conducting star Michael Tilson Thomas closes the season. Vocal music also plays an important role in the series with Janáček’s Glagolitic Mass and unusual melodrama by Jiří Antonín Benda. Three pianists appear in the series – Zoltán Fejérvári, Bertrand Chamayou, and Yuja Wang. Two string soloists, violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter with cellist Pablo Ferrández, and flutist Naoki Sato with harpist Jana Boušková complete the list of soloists.
