Morning Concerts DK

Seven morning concerts

Our series of Matinee Concerts at the Martinů Hall of the Academy of Performing Arts in Liechtenstein Palace is very popular with our audiences, and it promises to offer lovely musical experiences. On Saturday mornings, we have the opportunity of listening to three string quartets that have received great recognition internationally: the elite Wihan Quartet, the M. Nostitz Quartet, and the Czech Philharmonic Quartet. For the first time on a programme of the Czech Chamber Music Society, we will be encountering the Dvořák Piano Quartet, and there will also be a solo recital by the twenty-one-year-old pianist Matyáš Novák, who is conquering the concert stages of Europe to ever growing acclaim. A concert of the winners of the 2018 Prague Spring International Music Competition has been prepared, and of special interest, certainly, will be a programme introducing the Czech Philharmonic contrabass player Jiří Valenta in collaboration with the violinist Miroslav Ambroš and the pianist Miroslav Sekera.
