The cunning fox Leoš • The Little Rudolfinum
Turn into a cunning little fox and run to Tábor with us (like in the Czech folksong). Along the way, we will encounter singing animals, and we will also pay a visit to Leoš Janáček. The goal of the workshop is to familiarize listeners with the opera Příhody lišky Bystroušky (The Cunning Little Vixen) by Leoš Janáček in a very accessible, playful format with the use of a few excerpts. The programme includes not only interactive vocal, rhythmic, and movement exercises related to the opera, but also “direct” contact with the composer, who will show the children nature as he sees it with his own eyes, and especially as he hears it with his own ears, again with the use of brief excerpts from an animated film. Through the workshop, we wish to demonstrate to those who are convinced that Janáček’s music is too complicated for children that this is not the case.
With lecturers Veronika Lucassen and Jan Kyjovský.
