Programme
Be a clever fox and come along with us. Along the way, we will encounter singing animals, and we will also pay a visit to Leoš Janáček. Some people say his music is too complicated for children – but that’s not the case at all! Come and see for yourselves. We promise that in the end, you will all become little singing fans of Leoš.
The goal of the workshop is to present a few excerpts from the opera The Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček in a very accessible, playful form. This includes interactive vocal, rhythmic, and movement exercises connected with the opera, as well as “direct” contact with the composer, who shows the children nature as he sees it with his own eyes and especially as he hears it with his own ears (with the help of short excerpts from an animated film). We hope this workshop changes the opinions of those who think Janáček’s music is too complicated for children.
