Fire • The Four Elements

The program for children is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The program will not be supplied with English subtitles.

Education programs | Duration of the programme 2 hours | For preschools and schools

Programme

Playful musical workshops will introduce us to the untamed, all-powerful elements: fire, air, water, and earth – four encounters and the four basic elements that work together to form life on the planet Earth. Why? Because every musician is a bit of an alchemist who is also trying to mix the right musical elements together to make music sound like it should. Sometimes it’s literally a science, but it’s always a great adventure!

We begin each gathering in Suk Hall at the Rudolfinum, where we playfully draw the children and teachers into the morning’s topic. Connected with the joint programme, there are always at least three workshops for smaller groups of pupils that are full of singing, movement, playing instruments, and art activities. In addition, you can look forward to the traditional concluding five-minute musical quiz – and this time it will definitely be elemental.

Music can be fiery, and hot rhythms can be captivating. Don’t you believe it?
