A concert of a baroque orchestra and a musical workshop
Come on the first Sunday in Advent to hear a Christmas tale about a wise king and a poor lad. The story will tell not only about the kind and generous heart of the famed ruler, but also about what orchestras were like long ago. Don’t forget to bring mittens or warm gloves!
Musical workshops will fill in the details of the story of the wise King Wenceslaus and about the days when the first orchestras came into being. Of course, all of the rulers, kings and queens, princes and princesses, and their subjects already had a feeling for harmony. And especially for musical harmony! These fun workshops will remind us of those magical times – we will be singing, dancing, and making music together!
Instructors from the Czech Philharmonic and the Czech Orff Society will lead the music workshops.
