In Czech Philharmonic since March 2002
He studied at the Prague Conservatory with Professor Vladimír Vlasák, Professor Stanislav Hojný, Professor Václav Mazáček and Professor Amy Lynn Barber in 1988-1994.
He took part in presenting the contemporary Czech percussion music (M. Kabeláč, S. Havelka) at the Percussion Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Ohio and participated in many other solo and chamber projects (Prague Percussion Days, Bratislava Music Festival) organised by Professor Barber.
He was the percussionist and later timpanist of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra in 1994-2002 and the timpanist of PKF – Prague Philharmonia in 1995-2002. He is the leader of the percussion section of the Czech Philharmonic and also plays the timpani. He cooperates on many chamber projects with Baborák Ensemble, the Prague Saxophone Quartet and others. He has taught at the Prague Conservatory since 2006.
