He studied at the Prague Conservatory with Pravoslav Sádlo Páv. He is also a keen chamber musician and has recorded three CDs with the Chamber Ensemble Variation, the most recent one in 2018.

He is a member of the civic society which focuses on restoring the Saint Peter and Paul Church close to Zbiroh in West Bohemia. The initiative has been organising concerts for ten years and helping renovate the church.

He likes Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev as well as compositions by Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů. He also enjoys jazz music in any form and Argentine tango.
