He studied at the Prague Conservatory with Jaroslav Kulhan and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Mikael Ericsson. Within the Erasmus programme, he spent one year at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, studying with Reinhard Latzko. He has participated in various masterclass courses in the Czech Republic and abroad, has collaborated with the Mladá Boleslav Chamber Orchestra, State Chamber Orchestra Žilina, Czech Virtuosi, Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, North Czech Philharmonic Teplice and Karlovy Vary Symphonic Orchestra. As a soloist, he has also performed with the Prague Philharmonic Choir and its conductor Lukáš Vasilek. He has done many recordings for the Czech Radio, including Aram Khachaturian’s Concerto E minor with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and Tomáš Brauner. Together with his fellow Czech Philharmonic cellists Václav Petr and Ivan Vokáč, he played Krzysztof Penderecki’s Concerto Grosso with the Czech Philharmonic and conductor Jiří Bělohlávek.

He has appeared at the Prague Spring Festival, the Chopin International Festival, Třeboňská nocturna festival and within the concert series of the Czech Radio’s Studio Live and the Czech Chamber Music Society. He has performed in the Netherlands, Slovakia, Germany and Israel. In the 2016–2017 season, he appeared on the Czech Musical Fund List of Young Artists.

He won the International Cello Competition in Liezen (Austria) four times, was the overall winner of the Prague Junior Note and received the Yamaha and Talents for Europe scholarships. He won the Oleg Podgorny Award for the most successful and youngest participant of the Prague Spring International Competition in 2012. He is the laureate of the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition, Leoš Janáček International Competition Brno, Beethoven’s Hradec International Music Competition and won the New Master on Tour 2015 Award (The International Holland Music Sessions).

He enjoys well-performed and good music of various periods and genres. He likes to play Bohuslav Martinů’s pieces and is keen to discover modern cello music which is only rarely performed.
