LATEST NEWS REGARDING THE SEASON 2011-2012

Tickets sale, both of season and individual tickets, for the season 2011-2012 has opened on April 26, 2011.

The automatic reservations of subscribed seats from the season 2010-2011 for the season 2011-2012 were until June 17, 2011. (These reservations do not need to be confirmed, the new season tickets may be collected from the Box Office without previous agreement. In particular cases the reservation period may be extended.)

Within all subscription series seats to be newly subscribed remain available.

Group ticket orders for concerts which form part of any of the subscription series regrettably may not be confirmed definitely until the season ticket sale has ended (October 2010). Thank you for your understanding.

Senior discount (50% from the usual ticket price) available for individual concerts from the series Lunch recitals, Musicfor Mothers-t-be, Advent and Special concerts.

HOW TO ORDER PAY FOR AND COLLECT THE TICKETS

On-line purchase

Tickets for last concerts of current season and season 2011 - 2012 you can buy here.
Tickets paid on-line with debit/credit card may be printed out on your computer after completing successfully the transaction. These e-tickets allow their holder to enter the concert hall directly. In case you are not in conditions which would permit printing out the tickets, please save the payment number and visit our Box Office where we will be glad to print out your tickets free of any additional charge.

The Pay MUZO system accepts MasterCard, VISA and VISA Electron (instead of American Express).
Let us assure you that this system responds to the highest security norms (3D Secure).

Reservation made by on-line system is valid until 6 p.m. on the DAY BEFORE the concert.
In case of weekend and Monday concerts, the reservation is valid until 6 p.m. on FRIDAY PRECEDING THE CONCERT.

In case of the reservation after 6 p.m. on the day before the concert, the reservation is valid until 45 minutes before the concert.
In case of Monday and weekend concerts, the reservation made on Friday after 6 p.m. is valid until 45 minutes before the concert.
Upon agreement with the Information Service it is possible to prolong the reservation.

For reference at the Rudolfinum cash desk please write down your reservation number or print out the confirmation.

The tickets should be collected at the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra Box Office at the Rudolfinum (address: Alsovo nabrezi 12, Praha 1, entrance from the corner of 17. listopadu Street and Palachovo namesti). The Box Office is open every weekday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on days of concert until the beginning of the concert (if the concert takes place on Saturday or Sunday, the Box Office opens at least one hour before the concert).
Tickets payment can be made either in cash (in CZK) or by credit/debit card. If you want to transfer the money or pay by invoice please contact the Information Service.
If the concert is held in the Suk Hall from 7:30 p.m., tickets are sold by the Box Office of Galerie Rudolfinum (the entrance is from the side of the riverbank), where you can buy tickets from 6:30 p.m. until the beginning of the concert.

Payment possibilites:

  • Upon personal collection at the Box Office tickets may be paid in cash (in Czech currency - CZK / Kč) or by debit/credit card.
  • Per bank transmission upon invoice. The tickets may be collected from the Box Office when the respective payment has been placed on the CPO account. In case you wish to visit the Box Office without previous agreement, please bring along a document confirming the payment (a bank statement).
    In case of payment per bank transmission you may receive the tickets per post in advance of the performance (this request should form part of the order; to the total price of ordered tickets the postage, which is charged according to the actual price list of the Czech Post, is summed).
  • Cash on delivery service is unfortunately not available at the moment.
Group orders
  • Group orders may include both season and individual tickets.
  • Orders of larger number of tickets for concerts that form part of any subscription series may be confirmed definitely only after the season ticket sale has been closed (usually it is being closed in October of the respective year). Thank you for your understanding.

SEASON (or SUBSCRIPTION) TICKETS

A season ticket for all concerts of the selected series of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra or the Czech Chamber Music Society to be obtained in one purchase.
The concert season lasts usually from October to May/June of the following year.
Season tickets are on sale always until the day of the first concert of the respective series.

A season ticket gives you the following advantages:
  • You always have the same seat reserved for all concerts of the series and do not need to make repeated purchases.
  • The price of the season ticket includes a 20% discount as compared with the individual price of tickets for individual concerts.
  • As honored regular guests you are included in the Loyalty Program of concert season.
  • Your season ticket is transferable, if you do not wish to attend a certain concert you may lend it to your relatives or friends.
  • At the end of a concert season you receive automatically and free of any charge the next season programme brochure.
  • The seats you have had subscribed in the just ending season are automatically reserved for your for the next season usually during two months since the ticket sale for the new season was open.
How to order / purchase a season ticket

The season ticket sale for the new concert season opens on April 26, 2011 and closes on the day of the first performance of the respective series at latest.
The price of the season ticket depend on the type of the concert series (orchestra series / chamber music; evening / afternoon performances / matinées) and on the situation of the seat in the concert hall.
New season tickets are available directly at the Box Office or may be reserved through the CPO Information Service to be collected at the Box Office until the date which has been negotiated.

Reservation of seats for the current subscribers

The seat(s) you have had subscribed during the just ending season are automatically reserved for you for the next season during a certain period (usually until mid-June at latest).
The seats for which the subscription has not been renewed are released for free sale after the respective date.
Should you need to extend the seat reservation period or have missed the seat reservation deadline, please do not hesitate to contact the CPO Information Service or visit the Box Office.

TICKETS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONCERTS

Tickets for any concert may be purchased on-line, at the Box Office of the Rudolfinum or ordered via the CPO Information Service.
Tickets for all concerts from the programme of the concert season (except from the Public Rehearsals) are on sale since the ticket sale for the new season was open.

CPO PUBLIC REHEARSALS
  • Are designated primarily for secondary school students.
  • Please address your group orders at the Information service.
  • Within the group order the price of a ticket amounts to 100 CZK. Ticket payment should be effected in cash on collection at the Box Office.

Tickets left after having attended all group orders are offered to individuals interested in the performance always on the 20th of the month prior to the date of the first public rehearsal.
Tickets at 200 CZK are available at the CPO Box Office, reservations possible only in exceptional cases.
Please note that in case of a large number of school group orders, the other group orders may be reduced and the single tickets sale not open.

PRICES


Series.

The ticket prices are given in Czech currency (CZK / Kč).
Actual exchange rates you can find on websites of the Czech National Bank: http://www.cnb.cz/en/index.html

The prices of both season and individual tickets depend on the type of concert (the CPO by itself, chamber music), the time when it is given (matinées, afternoon concerts, evening performances) and the seat location in the hall (parterre / balcony, front / rear rows; the acoustic conditions are better in the rows further from the stage and in the center of the rows).

The best tickets for the CPO concerts are usually available at 600 CZK, for chamber performances and others the best seats usually are sold for 250 CZK.

DISCOUNTS

The offer is always limited by the capacity possibilities of the CPO.
The discounts cannot be combined.

Bulk discount

A discount of 5% from the total ticket price will be applied to purchases over 5.000 CZK.


Disabled persons

Discount of 50% on both season and individual concert tickets.


Students
  • 50% for all price ranges
  • The discounted tickets are available directly at the Box Office. In case you are not in conditions to visit the Box Office in person in advance of the concert, please contact the CPO Information Service.
  • A student identification card (e.g. ISIC card) should be presented when buying a student ticket.
  • The student discounts may be applied also to tickets for primary school pupils and children.
    Children's visit to a regular night performance depends always on the consideration of the parents or other accompanying person(s).
 
Seniors
  • Discount of  50% on selected individual concerts from the series Lunch recitals, Musicfor Mothers-t-be, Advent and Special concerts
    Does not apply on season ticket since in their price a discount is already included.
  • The discounted tickets are available directly at the Box Office. In case you are not in conditions to visit the Box Office in person in advance of the concert, please contact the CPO Information Service. For discount you will be asked to present your senior pass or other document with your age notice.
